Sometimes browsing through luxury designer brands can be a little overwhelming. And not just for us, for our bank accounts too. The good news is, we live in an era of options. There are so many good vintage shops, online or in stores, the high-street market is super fast in adapting to trends and has introduced sustainable options along better fabric qualities, and more affordable designers are gaining their ground, on step at the time.
While luxury designers used to produce locally with the highest quality or craftsmanship, some of the brands are slowest but surely outsourcing their production to third parties across the globe. At the same time prices are increasing by a two digit percentage. So of course this raises the question of money for value.
One thing is for certain, a fashion girl will always get nostalgic when thinking about historical and luxury designers. They will want the Gucci Jackie bag, the new Bottega Veneta earrings, the The Row soft leather ballerinas. And I am one of them. But exploring more affordable designers is not only fun, it is also sometimes much needed to not break the bank. So this fall might just be that opportunity; exploring new – and known – brands while being disciplined with our budget. And then of course, let’s put together some budget friendly classic, elegant, casual, and playful outfits.
Affordable designers worth checking out
Classic outfit
Put together a timeless look that takes you from the office to a bar and more. The monochrome base will be a perfect canvas to accessorize. Loulou Studio and Theory produce high quality pieces that you can wear over and over again. Bobbies produces in Europe and with real leather.

Elegant outfit
Luckily high-street and mid section designer brands have introduced high quality fabrics such as cashmere, silk, mohair, and more. This means easy access for elegant pieces like a silk dress in combination with heavy jewelry, canvas, cashmere, or leather.

Casual outfit
With brands like Pangaia, Lamarel, or even Skims, high quality lounge-ware has been made accessible to all of us. Pangaia and Lamarel even produce and design in Europe giving us fluffy cotton coziness that does not shrink after washing. Worn with sneakers or Uggs, their sets make a perfect fall winter outfit.

Playful outfit
There are plenty of quirkily, playful, yet affordable designers. Mainly from Scandinavia and France. Play around a little, maybe with blue light protecting glasses from Jimmy Fairly, or a pair of Mary-Janes from Carel. For more playful styles, vintage shopping also comes in handy and will make a unique look.
