About Milan Fashionweek

When it comes to Milan Fashionweek, there’s always a special vibe in the air. Along the Ready-to-wear collections, you will also find, that Milan Fashionweek is a special place for accessories. Mayor fashion houses like Versace, Gucci, Prada, Jil Sander, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Tod’s, and many more, are just as famous for their Ready-To-Wear as they are for their accessories. The love for accessories is the link to the history of craftsmanship you’ll find in Italy. Till this day, Italy is one of the few western countries that still produces and manufactures luxury goods. The production value is unmatched – as are the accessories, especially when it comes to leather goods. And it comes with taking pride in fashion. So overall, Milan Fashionweek truly is the perfect fashion bouquet of seriousness, joy, fun, drama, and strength. And therefore a real pleasure to watch.

About Milan Fashionweek Spring Summer 2025

This year’s Fashionweek was particularly exciting, as I found the collections light yet strong. From soft pastels seen at Fendi or Versace to bold, rich naturals at Max Mara and Tod’s, or colorful highlights at Gucci – there’s diversity in next seasons’ color mix. Silhouettes were mature, clean, sleek, and wearable. You could spot sequins and transparent silk and mesh, which gave the runways an overall dreamy look. And as expected, Versace, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Dolce & Gabbana were quite the celebrity hotspots. A personal highlight to me was the presentation of Prada. In a truly artistic manner, the house presented an unapologetic collection, each look so individual but aligned in an overall concept.
