Drama, baby, drama! The diva of all runways is here. It’s Milan Fashionweek Fall 2024. The Italian fashion capital presented fall fashion in its usual high dynamic. Combining major fashion brands in a tight schedule of three days the city was buzzing. With celebrity appearances, street style looks, and luxury on the runways, this season was a real pleasure to watch.
Prada, Gucci, Fendi, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo? Kate Moss, Asap Rocky, Uma Turman, and more celebrity sightings? Say no more. Milan Fashionweek is known to be short but packed. And this season was no different, the schedule was tight and the fashion was dramatic. With outstanding stage designs, Tom Ford presenting as a US designer, and Naomi Campbell walking the runways, Milan combined everything you would want from a Fashionweek. And as Italy is known for its outstanding skills in craftsmanship and high quality in materials Milan Fashionweek is able to present fashion beyond current trends.
Below come the highlights from Milan Fashionweek Fall 2024 from Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, Ferragamo, Versace, Gucci, GCDS, Tom Ford, Prada, Max Mara, and Fendi. Overall my impression was that brands are slowly going into the direction of more wearable but highly luxurious fashion. For example the collections included some through-backs to memorable items and individual pieces look like they would be easy to style. What definitely stood out was the focus on (vegan) leather which are forever pieces due to their robust quality. So generally the next season promises great additions to your wardrobe that will last. We might enter the period of convenient luxury.

Bottega Veneta Fall 2024
The collection fallowed the diversion of last season making the transition from summer into fall super easy. And the button downs are of course a well know classic from Bottega Veneta.
Jil Sander Fall 2024
With a playful runway and monochrome looks, Jil Sander presented a modern, strong collection with a reference to the brand USP. The love to details was seen in the complex material usage and layered styling.
Ferragamo Fall 2024
Over the last few seasons Ferragamo‘s bags and shoes have really stood out to me. So I was especially excited to see plenty of leather in autumnal color ways on the runway.
Versace Fall 2024
‚Fashion is a weapon that you use when you need it‘ – Donatella Versace. This is especially true for Versace‘s collections that continue to be fierce, strong, and powerful. It‘s what makes the brand a magnet to celebrities and fashion lovers all over the world.
Gucci Fall 2024
With Sabato De Sarno‘s second collection for the brand, Gucci is entering a new super cool effortless-chic area. It feels like the memorable time when Tom Ford defined what‘s cool but certainly has its very own charm.
GCDS Fall 2024
The brand has certainly quickly made a name for itself. With an edgy and humorous charm it defiantly stands out but never behind when it comes to Italian opulence. The little rebel stayed true to its use of graphics and cartoons while embracing in current trends like the color red.
Tom Ford Fall 2024
Tom Ford shows are always the life of the party. The guest list holds internationally known big names and the runway sparkles in sexy coolness. Bohemian grunge meets disco fever – Tom Ford simply manages to combine a variety of references in his unique style.
Prada Fall 2024
Prada will forever be my Milan Fashionweek highlight. The brand not only curates unique designs and executes them with know-how and love to detail, it also works its creative power by designing unique show setting. This season the runway was see-through and showed a natural ground beneath. The collection itself was strong, mature, and in true Prada manner.
Max Mara Fall 2024
Rarely any brand says fall like Max Mara. The most popular pieces of the brand must be their coats. And of course, the brand did not disappoint this season. With a strong focus on Woll and cashmere, Max Mara stayed true to their vision and showed clean and effortless looks.
Fendi Fall 2024
Fendi is kind of know to be Milan Fashionweek’s early bird. With one of the first show on the schedule they present their collection pre noon. And this season’s collection somehow reflected that character. It was dynamic and fashion forward and included bold colors and sleek layers.
Weekly inspiration
While the fashion world is looking at Milan, let’s take a little look at Copenhagen as well. Ganni is known to be the new Scandinavian superstar and has successfully released brand cooperations in the past. Such as Barbour, Levi’s, or Ace & Tate. The newest addition is a collection with Mejuri, a sustainable luxury brand. The result is to die for. The collection features heavy hardware style jewelry with dainty shamrock motives.
