Who ever said getting ready is the best part of going out was a genius. There is something so therapeutic about skin care and doing make-up, especially during winter. Light a candle, put some music on, and let’s play with make-up.
First things first – I am no make-up artist and not even close to the magic some influencers can do. But I love make-up. I wear very light make-up on work days and play with a little shimmer, some eyeliners or lipsticks on the weekends.
In all honesty, during summer I rarely wear make-up, it’s just to hot. Some tinted moisturizer, creme bronzer, an Eyelash curler and I am good. Sometimes, I will get my lashes died before the summer vacation, it’s a great trick for low maintenance summer beauty. During winter, I like taking my time and enjoy getting ready. Make-up stays on better and the occasions to wear make-up are more frequent. I blow out my hair with more patience, mask, and play around with make-up. It’s also the time when I buy make-up. I value great packaging design and regularly go for It Cosmetics, Chanel, Gucci, Hourglass, Dior, YSL, Fenty, Tom Ford and Milk. As the festive season is fully on, here are some of my favorite products, combined together so they make great looks.
Classic Make-up
For a classic make-upkeep it simple. As I said above I am on the lighter and more natural side of make-up, so this is a great every day go-to. Start with the It Cosmetic CC cream which has SPF and skin care benefits and use a little bronzer from Chanel. Define your eyebrows with the eyebrow pencil by Chanel. For eyes, use the Hourglass eyeliner. It gives a little bit of an ink bleeding effect, so it’s not too precise or perfect, but perfectly relaxed. Finish your eyes with Gucci mascara which makes natural, long lashes. For lips, use a Gucci lipstick. This one is creamy and comes in the most beautiful packaging.

Elegant Make-up
For a night out or a holiday party, it can be a little more bold. This look is still natural and lets your skin breeze, but it’s slightly more sculpted, fierce, and feminine. Start with a light layer of Dior backstage face and body foundation and sculp the face with a Fenty contour stick and the Hourglass highlighter palette. Then highlight the eyes with Chanel’s Le Crayon and shimmers from Tom Ford. Finish the look with YSL creamy lipstick in Burnt suede and your Favorit mascara.

Casual Make-up
Casual make-up means less is more to me. Cover redness and imperfections with the YSL Touche Éclat, bronze the face with Chanel’s Les Beiges, and curl the lashes with a good eye lash curler. I recommend the Dior one. Add some volume to your browns with Milk’s kush brow gel and some shimmer to your lids and face with the Dior backstage Glow palette. This palette is probably my most used one, it works all year long and just adds a cute little shimmer. Finish the look with glossy, juicy lips by using the Dior li oil. Yummy!

Playful Make-up
To play a little, start with a dewy base. Like with Milk’s sunshine skin tint, Gucci’s shimmery bronzer, and a Mario Badescu face spray. Play with an eyeliner that has some shimmer and highlights your eye color. The Dior highlighter is the ultimate tool to play. It’s super sparkly and blends like a dream. So you can use this as eyeshadow or drag it out to your upper cheeks and temples. For the lips, go in with a nude Dior lip pencil and a Gucci tinted lip balm.
