Everyday bags aren’t only about fashion. They quickly become a trusty companion when they are easy to style and practical at the same time. To find the right one can be tricky, but let’s make it fun. Let’s look into reliable staples and corresponding looks for effortless outfits.
For me, an everyday bag needs to hold a few things. For sure my keys, my (tiny) wallet, my phone, my EarPods, and some smaller things, like a lip balm or mints. In addition, I personally need a bag that is able to fit my iPad, or a small book as well as sunglasses, no matter the season.
Some city girls reach for backpacks, but it’s just not for me. I simply don’t function with backpacks. I need to reach for what’s in my bag quickly and often. So I prefer my essentials to be on the end of my arm, over my shoulder or cross-body right in front of me. I am also someone who un- and repacks bags, mostly on a daily base, so I can choose the one I want to wear that day.
However, there are some trusty companions in my closet that I am reaching for over and over again, and that I know I will wear for many years to come, no matter the trend. Depending on how I feel that day, I style a classic, elegant, casual, or playful look, and I am excited to share a few examples, outfits and recommendations below.

Classic everyday bags
Whether you run for coffee with friends, errands, official appointments, or need to stop by the office, a classic everyday bag suits every occasion and gives you a lot of room for styling options. For an effortless classic look, style it with a pair of dark COS jeans, Onitsuka Tiger sneakers, and a caramel colored S Max Mara coat. You can dress this up on down, by combining it with a button down shirt, a turtleneck, a long sleeve, or a hoodie.

If you feel yourself that day or generally go for a more elegant look, clean bags are a staple in everybody’s wardrobe.
