In this in-between-kind-of season we often are tired of the things we wore all winter. Yet it is not time to pull out the cute summer dresses. So overall this is just the moment for a little pick me up. Mix pieces from both seasons and tie them together in outfits that speak to the sexiness and cuteness of summer styles while promising the comfort and coziness of winter wear. One hack that will do it is to go for a feminine powerful outfit with boots.
Most of us have a little styling fatigue when winter is fading and summer hasn’t fully arrived yet. At the same time weather conditions can make it hard to be our known and proven stylish selfs right now. When we run out of ideas sometimes all we need is a little motivation or a push to start styling our beloved wardrobe essentials again.
Boots on the other hand turn every outfit into a put-together, feminine, and powerful statement. By character boots are a dominant and feminine statement piece. Most likely they’re also one of the more popular choices when it comes to heels. And the most comfortable. And since boots have been a trusty staple for a few decades, it is time to look into them a little closer. Although boots were a common choice for women in the 19th century they weren’t considered a fashion item until the 1960s. In the 1960s however the rise of the mini skirt allowed boots to really shine. And that was it. Boots have been a fashion companion ever since and still manage to get us excited for new looks today.

Classic outfit with boots
Start with a young, casual base like shorts and a t-shirt so the bots can really stand out as the highlight piece. For an everyday look, style everything with a Jacquemus trench coat and a Prada half moon bag. Finish the look with &Other Stories hoops. This classic combination can be taken up or down or layered with warmer items.

Elegant outfit with boots
Botts are the perfect solution to turn more basic pieces into an elegant outfit. Pair your boots with a slouchy skirt and a fine cashmere sweater. Then add a small The Row bag, Khaite earrings, and a Maje pearl necklace to accessorize. When styling elegant looks go for tights, preferably 20 den.

For a cozy easy look simply pair boots with a jumpsuit and a cardigan. It’s effortless and easy going while put together. To complete the casual outfit, add a colorful necklace from Silvia Toledano, a JW Anderson bucket, and a ring from Singulare.

Playful outfit with boots
My heard skipped a beat when I saw the iconic Givenchy boots were back in a denim version. They can be easily styled with a short dress and some colorful sunglasses. Accessorize with a Dries Van Noten bag, and a ring and ear cuff by HeyHarper. If it gets cold, grab a Parker or Trenchcoat and wear a white t-shirt underneath.

Weekly inspiration
The days are longer and spring is upon us. While we’re waiting to store the winter coats in the closet our apartments rarely change with the season. So this week’s inspiration are tiny little plant pots that will invite spring into your home. Either you can start seeding plants that will later make it outside, or if you’re sticking to the robust cactus gardening. The adorable little pots from Bea (found via Jotex) put anyone in a good spring mood.
